Gay marriages celebrated abroad between an Italian citizen and a foreign citizen cannot be transcribed to the Italian registry Office since they are in contrast with the public order: these marriages, however, are not without protection, since they can be recognized as Civil Unions, even if contracted before our Country approved the law n. 76/2016 about Civil Unions.
