Department of Private Equity and Internationalization
This department, managed by Mr. Giorgio Giorgi, attorney-at-law, is particularly experienced in providing advice to Italian and international private equity funds. This department has acted as a consultant for several funds investing both in Italy and abroad, negotiating and drafting contracts governing investment operations, including the financing and the guarantees covering them. The department of private equity assists banks, mezzanine funds, and private equity funds in leveraged buy-out and buy-in operations. In cooperation with the other departments of Martinez & Novebaci, it has developed noticeable experience in the real estate sector, assisting important Italian and international investors in the purchase or sale of assets or real estate companies and in setting-up of real estate funds and developing joint ventures in Italy and abroad.
This department provides assistance also in the touristic and commercial real estate sector by negotiating and drafting “turnkey” agreements for the management of shopping centers, hotels and resorts, rental, building, and sales and purchase agreements relative to resorts and residential and shopping complexes. By developing this type of contracts and consulting on business law, this department has acquired noticeable experience in the internationalization of Italian companies especially in the European and Gulf countries, in the United States of America, and in the former Soviet Republics.
